Has any one put WB Caprices seats into HJ sedan/stationwagon
Can it be done with out drilling new holes as the WBs are wider than HJZ.
Would the runners of a HJ fit onto a WB seat and then into a sedan floor.

Thank you for you help in advance. Danny

Yes, you have to drill holes. WB's have a different floorpan. From memory it is 2 x holes per seat. I think the WB hole spacing is actually narrower, not wider meaning the new holes are about 20mm inside the existing threaded holes.

Here is how I put VH Commodore buckets in my wb ute. The holes are the same width but are slightly shorter if that makes sense.
I cut a piece of 10mm * 30mm flat bar that that ran the length of the seat holes in the floor pan. So two pieces of steel. I drilled the holes in the same place as the floor pan holes and then tapped two more holes to suit the commodore seats. The front bolts went right through the seats and bar and into the floor pan holes. The back bolts went through the bar and into the floor pan only. The back seat runners bolted into the threaded hole in the bar. So there were no holes drilled in the floor pan.

That is a great way to do it for Commodore seats, I did similar once to get VL seats into a WB. It only works for WB though, HQ-HZ holes are wider apart than WB. In these it is best to put WB runners on them (or use WB seats), and then 2 x holes align on one side, and you can either drill holes for the other side or weld tabs off the runners. Holes are only out on one side by 20mm.

Thank you for your suggestions.
I like WBUTE. I will try that one.
