Hi Everyone,

I,ve got some spare chrome for a Monaro that i want to sell and i dont want rip myself off or come across as trying to rip other,s off.
I,d rather let it go cheap than come across as a tight arse and I,d like someone who need,s it for their Monaro to get it rather than a Monaro Outlet
I already have this chrome work on my HT and as much as i,d like to hang onto it for spare,s , it,s Chrissy time and Pop has to come good...lol

I just want to hope the HT never end,s up in a prang..touch wood..

I,m hoping that someone in the know with Monaro,s might beable to give me a rough idea of what a fair price might be?
make that a cheap price?

Here,s what i have

1 Pair of Inner Roof trim moulds, the left one is missing the little black tag that sit,s half way along the moulding but other than that , both are in good condition.

Right hand side Drip Rail moulding, has small dent near where meets flipper window but other than in good condition.

Left bottom Rear 1/4 window mould in good condition.

One Pair top rear 1/4 window moulds in good condition.

Rear Right HT Wheel arch mould in good condition.

Bonnet Mould dented.

4 Door handles, need re-chroming

4 window handles need re-chroming

HG Grill badge needs restoring

2 petrol spill trays,

Cheers B&W

been there done that, let it go to a member here or somewhere a week laiter it will be on e bay.
put them on ebay let the market decide, put the reseve at what u think is fair or start them at 99 cents.
that why YOU rarly find anything of value at swaps anymore all the sharks are out trolling for a feed the next week it will be on flee bay.

Ebay is your best bet. I've got heaps from cars i've wrecked over the years or i'd buy them off you for future use. Most are being reproduced too. You will get pretty good $ for them.

Yep, what they said.

It's not worth letting stuff go for a reasonable price these days unless you know the buyer is actually going to use it. I see stuff advertised cheap all the time. A week later there's an identical item listed for 3 times the price.

Make sure you list it all separately too. Help out half a dozen enthusiasts complete their set, otherwise it's likely to be a reseller who buys it anyway. Start the auctions at 99cents and make sure you have a good description. Put reserves if you want to ensure it doesn't sell too cheap but any Monaro specific stuff is going to sell for more than you ever expected.

Good advice and like you said "Help out half a dozen enthusiasts complete their set" sounds alot better to me
so after reading what you said i,m cancelling the ebay auction and doing a new one, only this time i,ll separate it all.

Cheers for that

Nope. I collect old cars cause riced up hatchbacks and plastic family wagons don't do it for me. I like to see people enjoy their old cars and see no reason why they should have to take out a mortgage on the house to be able to keep on enjoying it.

Hi everyone

And thanks dirty davo for putting up your veiw, i think you are spot on about ebay and it being so close to xmas

I said something similar to Wendy when she was putting them on.

It,s good to know we have a place like bellarine where we can get hard to get rare parts for our cars,

Unlike some other mobs I,ve only heard good things about bellarineclassicautos and i,ll hang onto these moulds till feb unless someone contacts me saying they need one, I will seperate them.

Cheers everyone

Hi all car lovers

Just acouple of days to chrissy and we hope its a good one for everyone

A big hello and thank you to dirty davo for typing up the kind words.

A few days ago I drove out to see the panel beater who sprayed our HT Monaro back in 2001 and he showed me
my original guard and two doors, they are abit rusty and the glass is missing out of the doors but the flipper
windows are there and they have a different marking on them to the ones in my car now?

Can anyone please fill us in on which one is right for our HT?, the flipper windows on the Monaro at the moment have a fist&hammer
Where my old ones off the HT(from panel shop) have a triangle looking logo, if it helps our Monaro was built in Jan 1970.

When i got home from the panel beaters i looked at the other glass in the car and noticed the Right hand side door window is a triangle while the passenger door is a fist and hammer, same with the rear windows, one triangle, one fist and hammer
My right door looks like it use to be Green while the left door looks like it use to be Blue

Which glass does a HT have?
i,m not sure at all on this one?

Well this year is nearly over and Wendy and i would like to thank everyone for having ago and putting in.

Safe and Happy Xmas to all

Brian and Wendy
