Don't bother with 2nd hand ones - they're all failing anyway, and new ones are quite cheap.

Here's one example from ebay:

I just bought some VT ones off this seller (for a friend) and they were excellent. I'd have no hesitation in buying these ones from him if my VS needed new ones.

Cheers,

Mick

I ordered another pair for a VX boot for a work colleague on Thursday, and they turned up yesterday - fitted them today. Great service from them considering the public holidays & the silly season.

In case you haven't sussed it out - when you look at the end of the strut, there's a metal clip. In the plastic behind that clip is a slot about 1/4" wide - that's to slide a screwdriver down to lever up the clip a little, to allow you to slip the socket end of the strut off the fixed pivot ball.

The new ones can be "banged on" just by centreing them over the ball & giving them a small thump with the palm of your hand - no need to lift the clip up when fitting them.

Cheers,

Mick

I bought bonnet and boot struts off this seller and got a discount for 4 struts.

He sent the wrong boot struts but immediately sent me the right ones when I told him the were 50mm too long.
