Firstly to my mates in the Monaro (and Falcon GT) fraternities living in the affected areas I'd like to say g'day and I hope everything is good with you.

We in the Clarence Valley (Northern NSW) are preparing for some flooding also. We do experience this from time to time and I can fully understand your positions.

Although our situation down here is not looking great, the current info is that the Clarence river will peak a centimetre or two below the January 2010 peak. What that means is that although there will be losses and Yamba, Maclean and Grafton will be cut off intermittently over the next week, we do not expect anything like the huge tragedy being lived through by so many of you.

I know that I speak for so many Fastlane members when I say that we are most concerned for you and our hearts go out to you.

To all Fastlane members, please feel free to add a relevant comment if you choose to.

All the best.

Nick Moran

No need to say anything more. Nick has said it all! Unbelievable footage on TV.

I'm mopping out the mancave/bar, carpets got wet, but BFD, they dry out. All the HQ bits are off the floor, although I won't be moving the Q out of the back yard for a while. Couple of mates are say worse off, one at Wallon had 2 feet of water through his place. As long as his model train lay out is safe is his main concern, according to a mutual friend.

Other one had to flee the house with the kids, now parked up at a
neighbours, with no power to the house.

And work is closed- transport is not picking up or delivering,
so I get a day off. Could have gone in and answered the phone to listen to the ****wit caravan owners whinge but head office told me to stay home.........who am I to argue?

If any aid got to the victims.I have a horrible feeling that large chunks of the aid ended up lining the pockets of bent officals over there.

Yes Queanbeyan & Captains flat copped it a month or so ago but that was a trickle compared to what is happening in Qld

Lets hope the flood height predictions for the Brisbane river are a bit over rated.

At least the media have stopped using the rather unfortunate phrase "the flood crisis is DEEPENING"

Vandals and graffiti "artists" do everyone a favour and target parking meters and fixed speed cameras only.

I see the Pope donated US$50,000 to the cause, bless his heart or was he just paying up on the innsurance from the 'Act of god' clause !
Jokes aside I hope for a speedy recovery to the victims.
