Have a long standing comp with mates about how many cylinders we have.
This includes any motor fuel driven- Car, lawn mower chain saw etc or air (eg piston in air compressor etc) That you own, not company or work related equipment.
My count- 49
How about you!!!!!

These motors must run and be in something that can be currently used etc (eg no empty blocks laying about)

Ummmm- I got to 237 and pretty sure I didn't miss too many. Some may need the battery charging or replaced but they're all useable.

What about the 5 or 7 pistons in the A/C compressor of the cars????

If it's purely on "SPARKED" or "COMBUSTION" cylinders, it might be a lot easier - as noted above, even the brake cylinders & calipers have pistons.....

My count is 4 x V8s, in cars, running = 32. (add the company V6 if you like for 38).
I have 3 more in the garage on stands....but I won't count them, as they aren't running.

What about a litre count?

Cheers,

Mick

I hardly rate at a measly 18 combusted cylinders. My mate, however, I'll need to start a list to avoid duplication:- 2 x EH holdens = 12. VH valiant = 6. isuzu bighorn = 6. 1 x HZ Ute = 8 (or 16 if you include the spare engine still functioning). nissan primera = 4. work van = 4. work ute = 4. 3 x lawnmowers = 5 (two twin cylinder reel plus a standard ). quad = 1 (I think). tractor = 4 (i think). 2 x generators = 2. 3 x chainsaws = 3. Around 63 fitting and functioning ignited cylinders. another 18 if you include spare engines.
