i have this ute, a ht kingswood, and it has these protection strips on the shut line of the doors. they run vertically to stop paint chips.
they are the sort of thing you see older persons put on their au falcon, and purchased them at the caravan accessory shop.

i only ask the question as i have never seen them in stainless, only plasti-chrome or rubber, and these ones have distinct machine marks at the top and bottom as though they have been formed, and not just cut off a roll. they also have the bend in the middle.

nasco or '70s supercheap?

Sounds like the "door protection strips" mentioned in a lot of
1960's-70's US car brochures.
Can't recall seeing them mentioned in the accessory cataloges
I've seen.

There are two types. Two sets of part numbers for the rear doors. All HK and all HK HT HG wagon doors used different, longer ones than the HT HG sedan doors.
