Just wondering if anyone has looked at putting a late model V8 diff with the independant rear end into a HG Monaro, would it handle a healthy 350, what advantages, is it worth the effort.
Thanks in advance for an help with this.

Was thanked: 1 time(s) in 1 post(s)
I was told once that the IRS would drop reasonably easily into a HQ. But would need a lot of work to fit it into a HKTG.

I cant say that I have ever heard of it being done in either model.

Best bet would be a chassis fabrication place, see what they say.

I was going to this to a HT Premier bought I bought the entire rear end from a VS Calis did all the measurements and would fit nicely. The only issue was the rear chassis to locate the springs. You can easily make a cradle using the rear shocky mounts to hold the rear of the diff. but the premier was too nice to put a grinder to, so all the gear sits under the bench now.
