Now that Holden has done a deal with Rare Spares to keep all the spares going. I just want to know how it will all work.

Lets take VT Commodore for example. What bits will you have the dies for? Will you haveaccess to every die for the car. So potentially down the track you will be able to rebuild an entire VT with Rare Spares produced parts?

Just wondering if I should be collecting these parts second hand at swaps now, or if they will be available in the future for as long as there is a need??

Thanks

I would love to tell you yes we will have every part for the VT , but that is not the case a lot of the tooling has already been lost or destroyed and I dare say that more will be lost in the future for various reasons. We would only make parts that will sell , many obscure parts would not be made. At this stage I cannot tell you what will be available and what will not, it will depend on GMH and what we can actually make with the manufactures available to us .
I hope this gives you some idea

id like to see rare spares cast up some holdenv8 blocks in iron, that can be ground to clear big stroke without hitting water, with 4.125" bores, proper 4 bolt caps and retail under 5k.

How about it blokes? :)

Have a look at these engine blocks they make here in Melbourne. Anyone after an all alloy block? Check the prices.
