Just wondering if anyone knows what the differences are in quarter vent assemblies. I'm not referring to Monaro, I know that they are different again
According to the HK Parts Book, Belmonts have different quarter window assemblies to Kingswoods and Prems.
I have two different types of assemblies, one is a bit wider than the other,and the relief for the small moulding where the locking handle engages is different, as seen in the photo below. Could this be the difference? If so, why would they bother?

Monaro quarter vents are about 5 mm shorter than sedan, ute etc. I found this out the hard way when I tried to put a sedan quarter vent rubber into what turned out to be a Monaro frame. Monaro glass is the same as sedan, but the stainless moulding on Monaros is also shorter than sedan.

The glass and the chrome frame it sits in are the same for all models in the HK HT HG range.

The upright vertical channel is different. (coupe shorter)

The lower attaching stud on the upright vertical channel is different.

The stainless outer moulding on the vertical upright.(coupe shorter)

All Belmont models had a black upright channel, regardless of interior/exterior colour and had no stainless on the outside.
1/4 window rubber is unique to coupe models.

The triangle frame that the rubber fits to is different and can only be identified only by the the two screw hole mounts on the top. This is because the coupe has the large chrome door frame and it mounts differently to the sedan. The coupe has a very rare and unique close thread single screw at the top on both sides attaching the window frame to the door frame.

In regards to the photo above, I believe the one on the left is early HK (pre coupe) and the other is the later version found on the rest of the models.
