HG GTS 308 ID plates..can these be sold legally??

Many years ago I picked up a set of ID plates for a HG 308 GTS from a swap meet in a box full of various HKTG parts. It included the piece of the firewall with the number stamped as well. Is it legal to sell these? Does it differ from state to state??

its ilegal to sell ID plates in any state.People do but its on the sly.

a guy in wa brought an XU-1 with the fire wall number "cut in"
he brought it off a guy over east who owned a reputable panel beater shop for $80,000.
turns out this guy got the heater looked at and found out it was cut in, turn out this guy is a cop of 20 years (true story).
WA cop then gets Eastern states cops involved to pay him a visit.
result - panel beater seller re -inburses cop with $40,000 and leave panel beater alone......
car still in W.A......cop owner... |
