Just a quick question, anyone had bad/good experiences with after market thermo fans, if so what brands. Looking at 16" Al.

G'day Al, I have a davies-craig 10" thermo on my tonner, and even in the extreme heat of this summer it has had no problem keeping it cool, everyone tells me I should have gone at least the 12" if not twin thermos ( when I bought it they had no 12's left

Don't go for cheaper versions, I did and they don't draw anywhere near the amount of air that a Davis Craig will, pay the extra and get a Davies Craig unit and you won't be disapointed. I got some "OEM" quality unit's that were sposed to be the same as th

Agreed. I'm running a Davies Craig 10" on both the Torrie and the HQ, in front of the air-con condenser in both cases. It's actually the biggest I could get to fit in the space, in both cases. Running the stock 4 blade fan without a shroud, and no prob

i had 16" no-name thermo to replace the belt driven fan, it only cost $90, too bad my temp gauge was sitting at 105 degress on the highway, i pulled over and got out my trusty test light and revealed a loose wire goin to the motor of the fan, i'm returned

had one (a DC with the newly released printer circuit motor!) many,many moons ago on my dad's LX (with RTS!) Torana and it never missed a beat, improved economy, didn't sound as thrashy as the solid blade fan and much quieter when crusing on the limit. if
