heyguys before i pull stuff apart i was wonder what you think.
i have a 76 zh fairlane and it has a 351 and fmx box and 9inch diff.
the problem is a while ago now when i would turn corners it would start to lock up the diff,
now when i go to move it it starts fine revs freely but as soon as i put it into gear to move it it stalls.
sometimes it will move but it needs alot more revs.
what do you think is wrong?
i'm not real mechanically minded but i thought it might be the diff or the torque converter any help would be great.

Amazing !! I had this exact problem with my brothers XC GXL many moons ago. Every time we'd take a corner "bang" the diff would lock up - put down the clutch and we'd roll around until the car was straight and we'd drive off. We decided to pull the LSD Diff Cap off to inspect the diff inside. Low and behold we found a floating bolt or nut that had sheared off (prob from dropping burnouts those days - back in the 80's). Could have simply removed it & left it, but being the pedantic guys that we were, we simply bought a new bolt and whacked it back in. Problem solved! Hope this helps! H
