Man I had a 250 X flow and I had done a bit of work to it I loved that motor I think there really is no cheap way of doing things being such a basic motor maybe the easiest thing would be to get extractors and some cold air induction via a pipe or a bigge

Perhaps someone here would know but would a 200 X-flow head bump up your compression? that, a pair of extractors and 2" free flowing single pipe and a 350 holley...if the budget allows then stretch to a mild cam, even if it's a good second hand one.

Have you considered dropping a V8 into it? End of the day it all depends on budget and what you want to get out of the car.
