bug catchers etc. are not legal mainly to do with running people over and causing more injury.
Starting a club is not cheap ,if you use a brand name like Holden or ford etc you have to have meetings with their lawyers for permission to use names and logos and registration with the govt could be around $4,000 all up then comes liability innsurance our club pays around $650.00 per year .
If the club had a generic name like` central ozzy cruizers`then it would only cost to register the name, much cheaper.

For setting up an incorporated club. One that is official with .inc at the end of the name. I would start here, and read it all.

Our club FX-HZ Holden car club of S.A Inc. , the Inc. used to cover individuals from being sued as a club, but it doesn`t cut it anymore so liability ins. was needed.
Without liability ins. councils would not let us use their grassed areas for club displays so we had to bite the bullet.

For Historic reg in SA the cars have to be 99% stock in appearance and mechanical , a group is trying to get a modified reg going but it has not been accepted by the gov`t as yet.
