Not illegal to sell them, gets to be problem if you use them to rebirth and then sell the car without telling the buyer its true ID and provenance. Such as rebirthing a 6 cylinder XY taxi into "genuine GT HO"

Fairly certain it is illegal in Qld to even remove the plate let alone sell them, why would any one want to buy them unless rebirthing is the agenda anyway?

simple solution if the OP is not intending to profit at someone elses future loss.
Post the id numbers with a photo.
Theyll be no good for a low life scam, the plates will be sold to someone as a curio rather than a means to defraud, and everyone is happy.

hi i have a number of plates i have collected over the years from diffrent cars i would b intrested in them as for show only not to rebirth or sell if you want to get rid of them give me a pm we can talk im a genuine collector
