whatever. i doubt they would have sprayed engine enamel all over the exhaust manifolds if they wanted to sell any cars. i can just see the writeups. great car pity it smells of burnt paint. a publicity pic is hardly proof of what was actually put on the showroom floor...

probably just a bit of overspray if it's a 'factory pic' - just like the overspray on other bits. they wouldnt have 'painted' them

Remember seeing a very nice Warwick Yellow 307 4speed Monaro in concourse class at the last Nats with its manifolds painted red. Edited by user Friday, 12 August 2011 5:56:31 AM(UTC)

because thats not how you sell cars. you won't convince your mrs to buy a new chev engined monaro if she comes out choking from burnt paint fumes. the manufacturers aren't that stupid. you seem to be looking at some overspray and concluding that it is a nice deep coat of paint

I've seen a HK Monaro in Mako. Very early Pagewood build, 307 auto, air, steer, optioned to the hilt. Lots of chassis and PSN's earlier than my #2 Pagewood GTS327 and my mate's #20 Pagewood GTS. |
