Mate has 1994 longreach ute, Often when driveing it just cuts out,pull to side of the road ,crank and will not start, crank more and motor shakes violantly, wait 15 minutes ute starts up as normal, Ute has new dizzy and coil but problem continues, will sit and idel for hours and not show problem, what should be checked next???

try new fuel filter it may be partly clogged

Mate of mine had this problem. Turned out to be one of the wires that plugged into the dizzy had cooked itself where it went close to the manifold and block. Would only show symptoms during a long run where it got hot enough for the wire to seperate a bit causing all sorts of problems. Have you checked all the wiring in the engine bay for signs of brittleness or heat damage?

Will do that, at present there is no spark, plenty of fuel. started 10 times during the day just sitting at work, went to go home no go again, very enoying to say the least.
