Split the ball joint from the stub axle, do this by removing split pin, backing of nut but dont take off, supporting lower wishbone with jack, use a ball joint splitter, which looks like a fork, pplace forkbetwwen top of stub axle and rubber boot on ball

Hi Sally
The new ball joint's should have come with bolts to attach it to control arm, they dont supply rivetts.

if it ain't broke we can improve it.

Cheers Steve

Obviously YOU CARE which model you are quoting, because YOU will have to purchase the Correct ball joints for what is fitted!

Sally like Vz said you should have got new bolts and nuts to go with the ball joints. If not go back to the shop and ask for them.
If they won't go along with you, buy new ones from any fasteners supplier. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE MILD STEEL BOLTS OR N

Hello Mr Ripa,
No not the best at welding anymore I hadn't welded for 12 years before taking on this project, Yes handy with a Mig yes but I'm not currently ticketed to weld chassis's. Your best bet would be to take it to a chassis specialist.
Regards
