Just watched the last episode over the net. I was genuinely surprised to see how upset Alan Moffat got when he was talking about the day Brockie died. I guess they were rivals on the track and close friends off it. Good show overall though.

I think the "supercharged" ex-pursuit XC was a bit of a stretch...

Yeah the the blown taxi/highway patrol taxi made me laugh. They also got the alcohol restrictions at Bathurst wrong too. And I get so sick of the infamous 1-2 of frods '77 Bathurst'win' The utter flogging frod got there in '79 barely gets a mention by comparison. |

Well said John.
I thought it was the best car program on TV in the last several years. Anyone who knocks it doesn't understand the work that goes into these things.
Sure, with more money & more research you would get more or better TV car shows, but this isn't gunna happen in today's environment, with our entire life is being dictated to by greenies & other assorted lefties.
I'll get off my soapbox now & go to bed.

Only problem I could see was it wasn't long enough, barely scratched the surface. but well worth the time to watch. |

Yeah was an interesting show, just seemed to be from a baby boomers perspective. Thats the way it is I suppose though. And what the hell was that mellon head Keating interviewed all the time for? They should have just done a demonstration of what happens when a politician gets run over by a triple road train.

How they condensed what they did into 3 episodes is a bloody miracle in it's own right! The topic could go on daily TV at 7pm and outlast Bummer Bay. |
Cheers,
