Hi there.just wondering if anyone has ever experienced their 02 Monaro alarm going off for no reason at all. Mine yet again went off this morning at 4.30 much to disgust of neighbours. this time my key remote wouldn't open the doors at all (had absolutely nothing). Eventually manually unlocked to disconnect battery to disable.Any help would be greatly appreciated as this could be really embarresing when away!!! Regards.

Mine has never gone off. Send a PM to Commodorenut, he'll have an idea. |

It's most likely an intermittent fault in the BCM (body control module).
An '02 Monaro is a V2 Series 1, (from memory) which uses the VT/VX style of dash & BCM. Some of these BCMs are no longer available as a new part but I stock some of them as reco/exchange units.
If it's a V2 Series 2, it will have the VY dash & BCM. These are still available new & they're not that expensive either.
Get somebody familiar with them to check it out properly.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
