G'day guys I'm going to look at a VK tomorrow and the owner is "pretty sure" its a Brocky. It's got the usual bodykit, trip computer, v8, auto, hes unsure of original paint colour. My question is what ID numbers should I be looking out for to see if this is a Brocky? Furthermore as I'm unsure of groups (group A etc), if this car is to be anything other then a stock VK what are some giveaway ID numbers?

AFAIK a HDT built VK will have a numbered HDT build plate. Some people get fooled by the VK SS (I think that is what it was called) and call it a Brock, but it was all built by Holden. |

Byron, you're very close - only 1 model out! The VK SS all have a HDT build tag, it's the VH SS that don't.
And yes, like Byron noted, all VKs have a HDT build plate. Early ones were glued on, later ones were rivetted on.
You will also need the "t |
