Hi, just wondering if a VX could be converted to a 6 seater (bench seat)???
we have a VX sedan but we now need a 6 seater car to fit us all in (4 kids) is there any way a bench seat can be put in or is it a really bad idea, i don't want to have to buy a new car unless i have too, we've had our VX since it was 2 years old and it's still a low K car so it'd be a shame to have to sell it
other than the centre console and gear selector, and the seatbelts, i don't see any reason why it couldn't be done???

If it never came out 6 seat, then I don't think you will be able to. There is too much involved especially Airbags etc. There is no centre front airbag! |

your right, there should have had a bench seat option, but sadly the last off the bench seats were in the VS i can't find ANY info on a bench seat option ever existing as from the VT!! i can make a bench seat fit, i can add a seat belt, i can modify the console, but there's not much i can do about the shifter? if there was no such thing as a 6 seater VX then i'm screwed and i'll have to buy a new car!!

A Kombi. Yeah! We have a 1975 8 seater bus. Perfect for lots of kids and their friends, and you can take the middle seat out in 1 minute, and you have heaps of room for parts, even a pallet will fit in there. You can get a middle front seat too, so you still have a 6 seater and pallet room. |

your right, the 6 seater VX option isn't going to work out, it time to move on from that idea :-( i've been looking into 6+ seater cars less than 10 years old, the option suck!! i honestly don't know what to buy??? til now i haven't considered a f....f...f...ford, but after looking at our options maybe it's time consider a ford? we did consider a new captiva 7, but i googled for info on them and found they have alot of faults ahhh, what to do
