Hey guys. Bought a new vehicle as a daily off of Ebay yesterday whilst I build another of the projects I have lying around and was curious as to the external vinyl trim that goes right down onto the front and rear doors. It's a 73 HQ Prem, everything original apart from some bolt on stuff, vinyl was redone two years ago and is part of the vehicles log booked history all the way back to 73. Here's a picture (please ignore the spats, I'm in two minds about what I'm going to do there): Can somebody offer me some insight into this please? Thanks in advance.

These are an after market vinyl roof, have seen a few here in QLD and a couple in Vic.
Not sure who made them.

All I can advise is LOSE THE SPATS. That's one busy HQ Premier, too much stuff on it for my taste. I'm suprised it doesns't have a continental kit fitted.
Then again it's your car and your call. Happy HQing whicj ever way you go.
Cheers. Chris |

Figured it was like that when you got it,I wasn't having a go at you. Losing the spats is a good call, IMHO. |

All good, I accept constructive criticism perfectly well :D
The roof interested me as I haven't seen anything like it before and judging by the log book it seems like it was fitted on sale?
