This site is great but I'd also like to join some other forums, are there any that you guys are a part of? Preferrably for old Holdens/Fords, like this one :-) cheers.
No worries, mate.

Just about every model has it's own forum. Just look up FE-FC holden, FB-EK holden and so on. FX-FJ also. There's a heap of them.

Colin.

Thanks Colin, I joined Aussiev8.com.au, the community there seems pretty genuine. Can't beat you guys on Fastlane, though. ;-)
No worries, mate.

One of the best things I like about Fastlane, is the old "6 degrees of separation" is down to about 2-3 on this forum. Most of the 'regulars' have all met each other at some stage or another, and many socialise within those circles away from the internet. A selection of the members have even been involved in significant ways with successful car events.

When I travel interstate, I try to catch up with mates of mine, especially those who are Fastlane members - in recent times I've caught up with guys such as 'We-wreck', Warren T, even Big Cav from rares. Going back over the last decade I've met up with & spent significant time with guys from Canberra (Jeremy & Jim) and even Bruce down in Tassie. Living in Sydney means I see a heap of forum members around the traps too.
I'd have one epic length post if I was to list all of the friends who are involved with Fastlane, who I have met in person.

I think that's one of the key things that makes this a great place - a lot of the guys are friends away from the keyboard, so they have the respect for each other that seems to be greatly lacking on other websites.
Cheers,

Mick

That's great, I'd like to meet some of you guys one day. We should have a meetup in Sydney or Brisbane next year.
No worries, mate.
