Petrol price hike - LPG for the HQ 253?

Rank: Member Reputation: Groups: Registered Joined: 4/03/2005(UTC) Posts: 145		Finally seriously looking at converting the HQ 253 to LPG, and intend to fit dedicated gas not dual fuel. When I rebuilt the enigine 18 mths ago had a towing/gas cam fitted and hardened valve seats etc fitted. Has anyone done in this in the Sydney and can recommend a good gas fitter prepared to get it right? The local bloke I visited week end before last gave me a blank stare when I mentioned it was a HQ and didn't have much to add about getting the dizzy regraphed etc. Took my name and number and promised to get back to me Monday. Never heard from again guess it wasnt a Falcon or Commodore and was too hard! Are there any other available options for dedicated gas carby's besides Impco 425 and GRA single/double throttle etc that woudl suit a mild 253. Any help and advice would be good before I shell out the cold hard cash, thanks Scott smckinnon(at)internode.on.net

Even so my dad had his VT
