One quiz more while we're all thinking.
What model Holden had the first Australian made carburettor.
What model Holden had the first Australian made fuel pump.
Is that being too obscure ?

Well at the risk of embarrassing myself, I will take an educated guess. My first car was an HR and I reckon it had an Australian carbie on it - it had 'Made in Australia' on it I think, perhaps on the cast base or maybe on the side of the bowl.
So if HRs had Aussie carbies then I will guess that they were perhaps introduced on the Red Motors so EH.
If that is right, it would make sense to me that they might also start using an Aussie made fuel pump at the same time.

Warm is very vague when there are so many options.
OK Attempt 2.
Looking again at the way you phrased the question Doc, it could be interpreted to mean that it was not the same model in each case.
So, assuming that is true, and now recalling I think that the glass bowls on Holden 6 fuel pumps had 'AC' on them, which presumably meant AC DELCO and therefore USA, I now submit a modified guess
EH for Carbie
The all new home grown Holden V8 (as distinct from Chev) for the fuel pump so HT for that

110% correct castellan, somebody knows their Holdens well. The Australian made Bendix-Stromberg replaced the US made Stromberg carby at engine No. L386733 mid-way thru the FE production run. They can be identified by their castings (of course) but the original US Stromberg also has a different entry thread at the needle & seat. This required an adaptor which will still be in place on very original early cars. As Squeak327 has pointed out, the phrasing of the question means we are not talking the same models here. Id say EK with the change of vac wipers to electric, the fuel pump design also changed. maybe late FB then as I think the last of the FB's had electric wipers.. |

OK, that one was probably a bit too obscure.
The answer by the way is mid-way thru the EH series at engine no. 154002.
All the earlier pumps were manufactured by AC in England. The newer pumps were made by Bendix Technico, the same mob who made the Aussie made Bendix-Stromberg carbies from FE to HZ.
