My WB is going in for a refurb. I am saving the cash to do so, so it might take a while. Aside from preserving tyres, any reason to stick it on blocks?

Well it might have something to do with Spring tensions.
Much like those wind up Torque wrenches, you always should release the spring tension on them when not in use.

I don't believe it makes a lick of difference to the car what so ever. Preserving tyres is not worth it as tyres are consumable & 'go off' with time regardless. It makes it a pain to move. Leave it on the ground. Edited by user Tuesday, 26 June 2012 2:09:46 AM(UTC)

Thanks mate, I am totally new to this, even though I have been around the block several times. I have some VH Commmodre rims that I will rest the WB on (yeah, I know - sigh- that they are not the correct PCD, but if they wrap around the calipers and I can roll the car around shoosh, will you tell the authorities on me?) I am going to have an excellent 355 stocker-looking gleaming Wb DeVille one day. So arrest me, I am guilty of loving old Holdens. Nobody here gets that, do they , eh? ;)
