hi ,
just reading thru a old muscle car magazine and it states in a articel or reading tags that for HK adelaide tags were stamped from the front , and other tags eg melb / sydney ect stamped from the back

1 / is this true ,
2/ was it both big tag and long skinny tag
3 how long did it happen for

Pagewood stamped from above too for the majority of 1968. Remember GMH didn't stamp the PSN into the VIN tag, this was done outside of the Company and the tags were assigned to vehicles by GMH which is when the bit in front eg 81837K was stamped at some stage on the assembly line (plant dependant), this is why some of the VIN tags have raised lettering for the PSN and the bit in front is stamped downwards.
