I have a converted dissy on my HZ 253 and am replacing it...it has the finned alloy box mounted on the guard with brown, red, black wires. there are 2x brown wires with one going to the -coil and the other to the alloy box. The red & black wires run from box to dissy. There are a red & black feed to box, the black is bolted to earth.
The new dissy has only 2 wires...pink & green, how do I connect the new dissy???? I have brought and fitted a new electronic coil with the old dissy and it seems to work?

Hi Phantom1500.
Pink goes to the +ve of the coil & the green goes to the -ve of the coil. The 12V supply also goes to the +ve of the coil.
Make sure the +ve supply is 12V, don't use the old yellow coil supply wire this has only 8V when running.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Thanks heaps Dr Terry, I checked the yellow wire on the coil and it,s 12 volts with key on and 11.9 volts while running. I think that it was modified when the system was converted to the electronic setup.
I was driving the car today with the old dissy
