Gday all.

I have a pretty general question. I have a JGS in need of a full resto pretty much. It's a blue and orange one. My brother and I bought it years ago and haven't had the time to do much with it. We are wondering what these might bring as is. I will try and get some photos and post if need be but rough ballpark figures would be interesting to start with.

Hi andyzed, in your case without photos its hard to say its like asking how long is a piece of string? but you did mention around the "ballpark figure" I'm thinking standard JGS, road worthy, all original, say,,,,, 45K, give and take, I have a green and white JGS, fully restored and looks fantastic and goes great, real nice car to drive, but I don't have the original motor, so the price would lower in a way as some people love to have matching numbers, personally I think that is a toss but at the end of the day its a Muscle car and it ticks all other boxes as I have trophies to show, but full credit to the guys at the pannel shop and they did a fantastic job and keeped it under budget.
Shop around for quotes but dont go overboard, I want my 2 year old boy to take onership of my JGS some day, so I cannot see myself selling it as I have had many offers so therefore I don't want to know where I would start with my JGS and its value, (I don't wanna know) my theory is that not many of them were made, and they were built for the young driver who could not afford a 351 GT coupe and so these guys put many of these JGS to the wrecking yards and the GT's were in the garage, therefore when you go to a Ford show the JGS are a bit of an attraction, I have met John Goss and real nice guy to talk to and he has some great stories to tell, he signed my car and when he is no long longer with us (I hope he is here for many good years to come) they may surge towards the GT's, look after it! you maybe sitting a good little investment, :-) cheers Phill.

Hard to say without pics, is it manual or auto? Do you have the original engine block and trim? Is it complete and how rusty is it?
I would say if it is complete, matching numbers and reasonable for rust, maybe 12-15k? They are quite rare and seem to go for more than an XA Superbird?
