Hi folks,
Can anyone ID this air cleaner, meant to be off an XR with 289 or a later XT 302? Is there any difference between the two models? Do any models have decals on the lid? Should the air breather pipe be crimped shut in the base? Were they all the same colour?

Sorry, confused a little by that response. You are saying since this is gold and 4 bbl it makes it the XR GT version, the XT version is the same but blue, not gold? thanks

Yep XT onwards 302 filters are similar but blue in colour. The 2 barrel Autolite and 4 barrel versions have the same centre hole size from memory.
