Looking for a late HQ air cleaner that has the snorkle pointing off the the passengers side with the exhaust pre-heat valve thingy on it. The engine breather should come off the front of the right side rocker cover and connect to the front right of the air cleaner . . . thats the hard option to find. Most of the breathers connect to the rear of the left rocker cover. So there it is, a late HQ to HJ 4-barrell air cleaner, WHOS GOT ONE?

I have at least one, off a HJ that i'm using on my Premier. Not sure what else is up there. Will have a look next time i'm in that corner of the mezzanine! The one with the left rear PCV breather is the LH-LX ADR27 Torana one. Late HQ and HJ Holdens and Statesmans come off the front right, most of them do anyway.

Yeah late HQ, HJ, LH & early LX 308 (ADR27) air cleaner. Thet also had an extra hose stub fitting for the fresh air supply hose to the automatic choke heat tube. Breather definately goes to the front of the right side rocker cover and the PCV is located on the rear of the left rocker cover.

Theres a couple of photos of one on the bottom of this page:

I'd be interested if you have one, thanks.

Only HQ and HJ. Torana has the PCV breather on the rear of the LH rocker cover.

Holden and Statesman are opposite to Torana. Torana has the PCV valve where HQ/J have the PCV breather.

Hi there,

I have an air cleaner with all the bits and pieces.
It came of a 308 with 4 barrel Rochester.
Has all the decals (GMH 5 Litre)
Is this what you are chasing?
cheers Dave

Hi Dave, theres about four different 308 air cleaner assemblies. If it has the breather in the exact same position as the one in this photo I'd be interested in buying it from you mate.

Email a photo or two if you can, . . . v8monaro(at)tpg.com.au

Thanks
Wayne

* Still looking for a late HQ - HJ air cleaner assembly as shown in the photos above.
* Also looking for a good original HQ fan cowling/cover plate. Not a new repro.
* Original 308 253 thermostat housing in decent condition would be nice too.

Thanks
