In spite of the many previously detailed obstacles, how about a reprint?

Even if it's only to stop this sort of carry on...

You would get an avalanche at $100 a copy.

I by chance bought mine at a Monaro meeting signed for fifty dollars, I have watched them on eBay for a while and haven't seen any sell for the $950 they have been listing. The highest I have heard a book go for is $1100-$1200. Since the Monaro magic book has been out , prices have dropped but people are still asking the top dollar.

As a business venture it is not worth anyone's effort. Some one is selling it on CD on youtube, plus it can be downloadd as a torrent off a dozen sites on the net.

So why compete with that?

With the work Ben has done with Norm to fix up the second edition of Monaro magic makes the Monaro story obsolete.

Warren

And no they did not come sealed. I think rare spares did that.

Thank's Warren and fair enough. I guess I'm like a lot of other people who would just like to have it in our collection.

If thats the case Warren,if you/others wanted to keep the books exclusive, why cant you release a CD-pdf version for people that would read the information and not have the book sitting there like a bible gathering dust.
Some of us actually do read....that way the book owners wont cry and you and Ben can make some money on the side.
I'm sure there are a few of us that would be happy to pay for your time.

Not speaking for Warren or Ben, but if it was me I wouldn't re-release it without making a lot of updates from information come to light since it was written. Not corrections as such, but expanded using new information.

I don't think it is released yet. Worth waiting for though from what Ben tells me.

Greetings,

A search on this site alone reveals some amazing discussion regarding this book. It just goes to show that any item that is desirable will always be on the wish list of those who didn't get in at the time. The story of life itself. Why would the book need be reprinted? If you want a copy then you pay the money being asked. It's all about supply and demand.

The book could in no way be called "obsolete" as suggested. Updated versions of books make the earlier prints obsolete like Terry Bebbington's 60 year work. A one-off book that is as revered as this one appears to be can never become "obsolete". The same goes for Holden books like a Features book or Selling Manual.
look out, the guru is coming through...

Until GMH updated them and removed critical early data! The bane of my current Sandman research. At least they left the revision dates and notes in place on some pages like on POA documents so at least you know what dated revision you are looking for!
