Yes these numbers are available throught the window in the front windscreen, so just parking your car can have these recorded. Has ben since VN.
I have 105 and 109 as Fusion Manuals, maybe you mistook the 9 for a 4.

....good evening Warren, and thank you ....i guess i must have been mistaken on this account....my apologies....
...a lot of the other numbers received were from telephone conversations that were had with dealers selling a particular CV8Z at the time, or an advert that quoted the ch/no along with all its other details, or just myself peeking through the front 'screen on various occasions...
...this was not a part of any serious research, as these jiggers were still only fairly new and was just an interesting aside to the car that i came to possess, which at quite an early stage of ownership was showing up as being a pretty late example....
....cheers and regards to all....Phil

I've come up blank with all the combos suggested,so this one is a mystery. Det,your Monaro build date is as you said 14/12/05 retail date 01/10/06
Marty,i have friends at dealerships that help for the right reasons.

...thanks mmazz, Marty, Warren and all thus far .. the retail date was as sold to the dealership (more like 10-1-06)....apparently for use by the MD through summer LOL... my purchase in May of that year was i thought a secondhand vehicle.....hence the $10,000.00 discount on the full retail price, SD and on roads... but when the registration was ''transferred'', apparently i come up as the first owner, as dealer registered cars don't necessarily mean much in the big picture as owners.... ...it has been mentioned that it must have been a dealer demonstrator....but that could be countered with the fact that it was registered after the end of model run...??....cheers fella's Edited by user Tuesday, 8 January 2013 10:51:00 AM(UTC)
