1971-1973 Mustang had the same rimblow and centre pad as an XA GT However, an XA GT had a black base with the brown faux woodgrain Mustangs had various colours in their rimblows: black, ginger, brown to name a few More to the point: The P5 LTD has the same wheel as the XA GT (guess that is why you asked the question) but has a different centre pad The p5/landau centre pad is actually sourcEd from the mercury Cougar in the USA Ford Oz simply replaced tte gold cougar on the centre pad with the gold crest when they came to Oz Some p5/landaus actually had the cougars still on their centre pads as ford ran out of crests at one point and needed to deliver cars! That looks like a very nice resto on that wheel, who did it?
Ive been quoted by a couple of people one was approx $500 another was $1200 - $2000, there isnt many options in adelaide ive looked at the New Zealand site does them for around 500.
Ive been told cheaper restos start cracking only look good for couple of years due to how it gets restored.

Send your wheel with pad to Gary at rimblow restorations in NZ
You won't be disappointed.
Depending on condition of wheel $400-$500 should cover it. Gary will quote the job first

Did you mean XW/XY buddy? I know the XW and XY wheels are a bit different but the centre pads off the XA XB fit on them. One small batch of XB GTs actually had XY GT steering wheel centres from factory. The US wheels also have the locking piece for the steering lock. It will still fit an Australian column and you don't have to remove it.
