I believe that the XP has front sheetmetal from a Canadian Falcon. The US 65 model Falcons had a complete re skin that shared no panels with Aussie models.

This might help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Ranchero

Also the American Falcon pickups (Ranchero's) used the longer doors from two door Falcons whereas Aussie Utes used the sedan doors and longer rear quarter panels with thicker B pillars.

I see. Ranchero is Ford USA speak for ute.

Note what the US call the third generation we call the second generation as the yanks called the re skin of the first gen (that we never got) the second generation.

Then there were these. The last of them had MK5/TF Cortina tail lights and a LHD MK5/TF Cortina (Taunus) dash.

Unfortunately none of them seem to share the XP's bumper bars. Also the higher tail lights of the XM/XP were unique to Australia so the accompanying rear bumper probably is too.

sorry Jim, but the XP Falcon front panels and bumper were from the Mercury Comet '62-'63, so the front guards, bonnet and bumper are all the same, the grill is different as they had a dual headlight.
Goodo, I think you will find it alot cheaper to get your old one fixed and replated than get a new one and shipped here ($700+)
