Hi all, I have a subframe with the date code 21D.

The "1" does look like an "I", but Dr Terry has said in other topics that the "I" was not used so it would have to be a "1" then.

I'm interested to know if it is HT or G because it has spacers in the calipers and the thick rotors.

21D is 21st April but after the D there has to be a number either 8,9,0 or 1 to determine year (1968,1969,1970 or 1971)Now maybe if the 1 looks like a L and the D looks more like an O then it would be 2nd November 1970 Confused Now! I hope this Helps

I've seen date codes suffixed A or P.

I've always assumed this to mean AM or PM production shift.

Dr Terry
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Probably right Terry, although you do get A, D and N castings on some cast iron stuff.
