hi guys i have an origanl 308 it has been sittimg for a couple of years, the car has being rebuild, starting the car up i found the motor under load blowes allot of blue smoke. it was not that bad before , do i need a full rebuild or does someone know a good mechanic Melbourne that guarantees their work? most likely the rings have seized up from not being run or the oil in the rings has gone soli8d. could also have rusted bores.
most likely won't cure itself although there are some chemical supposed to fix it.
for my money pull the motor strip it down and clean out the ring grooves manually, not a lot of fun but will work.
