Just got a HJ s/man owners handbook ( yes I have a bit of a collection of handbooks ) it is very early , sept 1974 & lists 3.3 as engine available ? has anyone seen one ? Mark. |

Sounds more likely a typo, being an early print. The Statesman owners manuals were basically 'edited-down' versions of the regular models' manual, so maybe this bit was left in.
HJ Statesman models were 308 V8 only for Australian sales.

Hi Terry , Handbook # is 9937102 & has all the 3.3 data listed in "Engine Data" & capacities section , maybe Export handbook for Fuji / Singapore ? in NZ we were still making HQs in sept 1974 . Mark. |

As Terry says there no local 6cyl Statesmans, there only were export 3.3 and 4.2L HJ Statesman or Statesman based vehicles. |
