Hi There,

I would like to ask what options there are to mount a T56 gearbox to a HQ 308 red motor. Which bellhousings can be used and which ones can't be used?

The original ones are easy to get:

Could these be modified to suit a T56? If not, what is exactly the reason?

This bellhousing looks as if it would suit:

However, the price is pretty high. What is the least expensive way to mount a T56 on a HQ V8 motor?

Thanks!

Alternatively, are there any M21 Aussie 4-speed gearboxes that can take similar horsepower than T56s?

NO Aussei 4spd M31's but a Muncie M21 or M22 will do it. These were standard fitment to HQ GTS350, well M20 Muncie but the same basic thing.
