i have a 202 blue motor i have fitted a 179 head i have and was told the water jackets are different ???????? dont want to start the car and fill the bores with water .......and help please also how do you tighten the rockers.... the last head all i did was torque the rockers,, these are different as i do the rockers up the valves go down????????

if you have already fitted the head you have wasted your time. There are 3 or 4 water jacket holes in the head and block surfaces that have to line up. You won't fill the bores with water you will just cook the motor. Get a red motor head gasket and lay i

thanks for the help
didnt have extractors to suit 12 port head so i changed the head
