Yes the 308 with the std exhaust is very poor performer a 253 would not far behind.
There was a big thing about the quietness in the HT HG prem & bro that holden was pushing.
Old mate Jack had the HK HT HG Broughams from new and said the HK was the better performer of all and he flogged them hard.
Maybe the HK exhaust was not so restricted.
I don't think to much of the 307 chev the 327 we got was nothing much and only the HT HG 350 was good the HQ 350 was gutless rubbish as any 308 could keep up and i am sure the HQ 308 GTS auto could hose off the 350 auto. and this is stock off the floor.
We should of got the Z28 in the HQ GTS.

LT1 engine was planned for the HG, not sure if HQ would have got it though.
