South African Monaros are also the same shape as ours, they actually look like a Monaro whereas the Chevrolet SS has the ugly front.

There are brochures floating about online showing you what the Chevrolet SS came with and what they looked like. They are all assembled post the end of HG here, 308 or 350, manual or auto. All the same shell.

Yeah the front clip is pretty ugly but from what I have researched it seems easier to find the SS model for sale so I will go down that avenue for now.shame they didn't use our front clip for the whole production run,it looks like the Chevy one was just thrown on there!

I actually like the SS front I had one lined up to fit to my HG Ute and was trying to get one sent over when I was working with this South African guy in around 2005. The idea eventually was forgotten when I decided that I preferred my Brougham front that I had and was much less hassle sourcing parts for.
