Hello All,
My brother has just bought an RA Rodeo crew cab 4WD.
Unfortunately it has central unlocking which means that when you put the key in the drivers door all of the doors unlock. However the central locking does not lock any door which means that you have to walk around the truck locking every door individually every time you park it.
This as you can imagine is a bit of a PITA & life would be a lot simpler if the central locking were to have failed completely.
He has been informed that the problem is something as simple as a dud relay.
If it is that simple where would I find this relay?

It could be a myriad of things, and it's best diagnosed step-by-step with the vehicle in front of you.
If he's not concerned about having central locking, it may be easier to find the fuse & remove it....
Is it only the driver's door that's not locking them? Try using the passenger door (if there's no lock, sit in the car & work the lock on the inside of the door).
If it locks everything from the passenger side (or the remote) then it narrows it down to the driver's door. It could be a faulty switch inside the door (often built into the actuator), or even a broken wire in the door harness.
If it's the same from the passenger side - ie none of them lock, then it points to a dud relay or control module (sometimes they use 2 individual relays - one for lock & the other for unlock, other times it's all built into the one module, or is part of a body module).

Hello Mick,
Yep tried that. The bloody key don't fit the passenger door but the inside lock does not behave like a "master" at all. Ie it neither locks or unlocks any other door.
I told him that pulling the appropriate fuse woud make his life a little easrier but he does not really agree.
