Sounds like a base spec HG V8 Kingswood. Is it a ute, wagon or sedan? If you can buy it and use it and only have to fix minimal stuff like hoses, seals etc, hook column shift back up etc then that sounds good to me. If it has rust issues then maybe start scrutinising it a bit harder.

3 x tags, just like a HQ. Chassis number is in the centre of the firewall. Early HG are simply HGxxxxx then a letter for the body plant that put the body together so HGxxxxxM for example. Late HG are in the form AHGxxxxxA

G'day Paul,

Just going on the photos, although they're small, I can tell you the following:

It has HK Holden rims and a HK Holden steering wheel/horn bar.
The ID tags have been removed and reapplied with rivets.
From what I can see, none of the trim is original. This would of been Sandalwood originally.
The paint colour is Agean Aqua.
The engine is a HT/HG V8 although the drivers side rocker cover is incorrect and the timing cover has been replaced.
Those extra gauges on the dash are not standard.
I doubt very much the 59,000 miles are genuine. This car has been stripped down and rebuilt at some stage.

I hope this helps.

Would make a cool cruiser but I will stick with my ute.
