Hi All, I'm having some problems with the factory air in my HQ, not blowing very cold. The inlet door doesn't seem to be working, no vacuum. Should this door be open or closed when air is operating? Currently it is open and seems to be struggling with cooling the outside air, does this sound likely? Appreciate any advice, thanks, Phil

The 'inlet' door doesn't open & close as such, it directs air from either outside or inside when sourcing the intake air. The a/cond operates in both modes, this is the difference between 'fresh' & 'recirc'.

While the car will usually cool more quickly in recirc mode, it should cool adequately in either mode. It sounds like you need your system checked out by a pro. Find someone who is familiar with the GM POAST valve system otherwise your wasting your money.
