Hi. Just trying to establish if my air conditioning unit is original. The under dash unit has GM on it but under the bonnet the compressor has H312 and 6556408 stamped onto it. Could someone please advise if this is original? Cheers.

The HK/T/G factory underdash a/cond unit had the GM logo on the facia. It was chrome plated with 2 knobs.

The factory compressor was the large black GM A6 unit. The originals were labelled Frigidaire & genuine replacements are labelled AC Delco or Harrison.

A piccy of the underbonnet would make it easier to ID.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

It is not installed in the car but I can get a photo of the compressor but I have never had any success in posting same here. Is the word Frigidaire etc actually stamped into the compressor?
