Hi, I am trying to install the Air Deflector Plenum Chamber to my 1981 VH SLE Commodore, I purchased from Rare Spares, I seem to be having trouble trying to get this to fit, are the SLE air deflector's different to a standard VH Commodore?? Cheers, Craig.

In VH all the plenum covers are the same.
In VB-VC the Harrison air-con cars (the ones with the rotary control switch, and the fan housing out in the engine bay) have a different one with a relief at the passenger side end for the vacuum ball. Harrison air was standard on all VB-VC SL/Es, but was phased out for VH and replaced with the air international system.
Perhaps these applications are mixed up and you have the wrong one? |
Cheers,

part 90046713 Is listed as "VH Commodore except SLE" in the Rare Spares listing. The parts book shows it suits Air International Air Con and standard non air conditioning.
