Will a Caprice front bumper bolt straight on to a VR?

As long as you have the reinforcement with the bar then yes, but it creates a bucketload of problems: 1. The grill is mounted on the bonnet on a caprice, it's part of the bumper on a regular VR 2. The opening for the side blinker lenses on a VR are much shorter than a Caprice, so the bumper plastic won't fit the opening, and has to be cut away. 3. The wiring for the blinkers & park lamps is different.
You really need to swap the bar, reo, bonnet, grille & front guards over as a complete set. The only common part is the headlights & blinkers - just the bodies of them - the wiring harnesses to the lamps are different too! |
