Hey guys bought my first v8 that i wanted for the last 15 years but its a hell of a do-errr-upper. Anyway could someone kindly tell me some information about my bodytag and also its need news rubbers brake booster/master and afew inside trim parts where are the best place to source these. Greetings, Only the Body and VIN plates were. They have been put on to an HG as shown in the picture. Look closer and you will see the shell is a Trimatic of some sort. This is a rebodied car. |

i wouldnt know just picked it up firewall says hg something will check with police tommorow make sure its not stolen or anything and then have to see what law says about the differeing firewall code to tag code

Greetings, Because the body the ID plates are on in the picture is not the body the ID plates were on when the car was new. So the body has been changed obviously. Holden will identify this vehicle by the ID plate numbers. A registration authority will identify this vehicle by the Chassis Number stamped in the car. As far as Holden are concerned it is an HT Brougham from Melbourne. As far as the registration authority is concerned it is something else as it has an HG prefix Chassis Number and is a post 10/70 body. Two different cars depending on who is confirming it. So it has been rebodied at least once. |
